War of the Thistles 2009 and Skateboard Scotland’s Mark Burrows tribute board.
The War of the Thistles 2009
WOTT09 is on Sat May 2nd and Sun May 3rd so get your gnarly boots on and get ready for some good skating!
This year mixes things up a little bit with Unit 23 Skatepark in Dumbarton hosting Day 1 of the event and Transition Skatepark in Aberdeen hosting Day 2. There will be an after party in Aberdeen on the Sunday as it’s a bank holiday so you could hang about afterwards and even go for a skate on Monday, or hit up some of the other concrete up that way.

Mark Burrows tribute board
Skateboard Scotland have wanted to do a run of decks for a while and have now done a run of decks with a board for Mark Burrows.
The boards are now available to order for £35 plus p&p or you can also pick one up at War of the Thistles too. The decks are 8.25 inches wide and have been pressed by A Third Foot here in the UK so they are good quality boards,the graphic was designed by Mark’s long time friend from Tranent Jason J Thomson.
